In addition, 2 medical practitioners are based in the facility on a 24 hour basis. Should referral to a specialist prove necessary, a full compliment of specialists are available
Senior Citizen's Clinic
Netcare Mulbarton Hospital holds a free Senior Citizen’s Clinic in our 24 Hour Accident and Emergency Unit every Tuesday morning.
Here, senior citizen’s are able to undergo free basic health investigations such as blood sugar, blood pressure and urine tests

The Pharmacy , which is conveniently located in the main foyer of the hospital, is open 7 days a week. The Retail Pharmacy is contracted in with most medical schemes.

Visiting Hours Intensive Care Unit
Only close family members may visit and only 2 visitors at a time. Visiting may be restricted at the Unit Manager’s discretion.
Ward Routine
The nurse looking after you will discuss the planning of your day. She will introduce herself to you shortly after the 07h00 and 19h00 hand-over.
Meals
We offer an a la carte menu from which meals can be selected each day. The ward hostess will take your order and serve your meal. We also have a dietician available for consultation.
Smoking
Netcare Mulbarton Hospital has adopted a clean-air policy and smoking is not permitted inside the hospital building. Patients and their families may only smoke in the garden courtyard areas outside Section A and C.
Security
Netcare Mulbarton Hospital is dedicated to ensuring the safety of our staff, patients and their families. As a result, clearly – recognizable security personnel are situated at strategic positions in and around the hospital. We kindly request that no firearms be brought into the hospital. Safety deposit boxes are available at Reception, should they be required.
Radio and television
Both Private, Semi private and General wards are equipped with remote controlled televisions. Remote controls for the televisions are available from Reception.
Wards and Bathrooms
These are cleaned daily and when necessary. Should they not be up to standard, please inform a nurse so that the matter can be attended to.
Netcafe
Located at the entrance of the hospital, the coffee shop serves a delightful range of light meals and snacks. Sweets, magazines, newspapers and small gifts are also available
