Kuils River Hospital
Kuils River Hospital is a state of the art facility which opened in 2002. Ideally situated in the heart of Kuils River, the Hospital is easily accessible to local residents and residents of the greater Winelands area, Paarl, Stellenbosch and Somerset West being within 15-25 minutes away. The Management and staff of Kuils River Hospital take pride in providing a multi-disciplinary health care service.
In addition there is a wide range of specialists with access to 6 state-of-the-art theatres, Maternity Unit, Neonatal and adult ICU, Medical and Surgical wards, and a warmly decorated Paediatric ward.
Kuils River Hospital is proud to boast an Endovascular lab, the first of its kind in the country. The focus is directed mainly at the diagnosis and treatment of arteries and veins of the coronary, cerebral, renal and peripheral systems. The laboratory is also licensed for Cardiac Catheterisation and has a 64 slice CT angiography and calcium scoring facility. The lab now also has a new on site system which is used for the treatment of ablations of arterial flutters.
Kuils River Hospital’s Trauma Unit has skilled personnel with extensive experience in Trauma Intensive Care, Cardiac Emergency Care and Paediatric Emergency Care. This is a 24 hour facility, manned by doctors, nursing staff and a permanent Netcare 911 paramedic crew.
