Your oncologist will talk you through as many of those unknowns as possible, to help you understand your cancer and what to expect, so that you can decide on the best treatment plan for you, together.

If you have a symptom or a screening test result that suggests you may have cancer, the next stage is for your doctor to find out whether it is due to cancer, or some other cause.
