What is kangaroo care?

Kangaroo care involves periods of close body contact between parents and baby, with the baby nestled skin-to-skin against their chest.

We promote kangaroo care, especially for babies who have been admitted to our neonatal intensive care units, because of its multiple benefits for baby and parents.
