NetcarePlus EmergencyCare provides unlimited cover for medical treatment when an employee is injured in an emergency.

Emergency transport

Employees will have Netcare 911 paramedics on call 24/7 to get them to an emergency department, by road or air.

Emergency surgery

Your employees will get medically urgent surgery from world-class surgical teams.

Unlimited emergency treatment

Employees will get treated at any private emergency facility, including for blood tests, X-rays and scans needed for diagnosis.

Hospitalisation, including high care and ICU

Employees will be taken care of in a general ward, high care unit, or ICU, and covered for specialist care, surgery and other related costs.

Out-patient treatment at an emergency department

Employees will get unlimited treatment before getting to hospital, or for injuries when they don't need to be admitted to hospital.

Family care benefits

Employees will also get a daily payment of R1 000 to help with household expenses, when admitted to hospital for more than two nights.

NetcarePlus PrimaryCare offers employees without medical aid convenient access to quality care for their everyday medical needs. No days off work and no out-of-pocket expenses.

The available benefits and benefit limits will depend on the option that is chosen.

Unlimited doctor consultations

Employees can see a GP whenever they're feeling ill. Medicine and minor procedures are included.

Chronic medicine

Employees will be covered for 26 chronic conditions and can get medicine at network pharmacies.

Basic radiology

Employees will be covered for X-rays at a radiologist should they be referred by a Network GP.

Basic pathology

Employees will be covered for basic pathology like blood tests at a pathologist should they be referred by a Network GP.

Optometry

Employees get an annual eye test and qualify for a pair of specs every 24 months, at a network optometrist.

Dentistry

Employees will be covered for specified dental procedures at a network dentist.

Maternity

Female employees will be covered for ultrasound scans during pregnancy and specified pathology tests requested by their GP.

In-hospital specialist fees

Employees will be covered for specialist shortfalls for any approved admission in a hospital or day clinic. Plus, we'll also take care of consultations while they're admitted to hospital.

Up-front co-payments

Employees will be protected against upfront co-payments for certain day procedures, like scopes or scans performed in hospital or a day clinic.

Out-of hospital specialist shortfalls

Employees will be covered against specialist shortfalls for consultations and treatment, when they're not admitted to hospital.

Cover in an emergency department

Employees will receive emergency medical treatment for injuries beyond the cover of their specific medical aid.

Extended maternity benefits

Employees will be protected against maternity costs beyond medical aid limits, even for high-risk pregnancies. Plus, we'll take care of prenatal consultations, private ward costs, and first hearing screening and immunisations for babies.

Day-to-day medical costs

Employees will be covered for specialist consultations if referred by their specific GP, including cover for radiology, pathology, as well as basic and specialised dentistry, once they've reached their day-to-day limits.

Unlimited admissions in any Netcare facility

Employees will get unlimited cover for co-payments when using Netcare hospitals outside of their medical aid networks.

Comprehensive cancer treatment

Employees will be covered for co-payments for cancer treatments beyond the limits of their oncology benefits. Plus, shortfalls when using providers outside of their medical aid network.

Emergency booster

Employees will be covered for costs incurred in any emergency department when they require emergency medical treatment, including for consultations and medication.
