Netcare Greenacres Hospital wins prestigious Diamond Arrow Award

Hospital receives highest rating in its category, in the Eastern Cape Province

Following completion of its annual survey in the Eastern Cape Province, consulting, research and risk management company, has awarded Netcare Greenacres Hospital a Diamond Arrow Award – the highest possible rating – in the private hospital/clinics category.

The awards, which were announced at the recent Eastern Cape Business Excellence Awards breakfast held at the Radisson Blu in Port Elizabeth, are the culmination of a research process whereby companies and institutions were rated against the following criteria: companies or institutions that have done the most to enhance the economic growth and development of the Eastern Cape, levels of managerial expertise, implementation of corporate governance, brand awareness, and levels of innovation.

Commenting on the award, Craig Murphy, regional director for Netcare’s coastal region hospitals, says the acknowledgement serves as testament to the fact that Netcare Greenacres Hospital continues to uphold and deliver on Netcare’s values of care, dignity, participation, truth and passion.

“Getting positive feedback from the people in our province is perhaps the best indicator of whether we are achieving our service objectives, and this award is evidence that the hospital team are doing just that. We are delighted to have been recognised as a top private healthcare facility in the Eastern Cape.”

Netcare Greenacres Hospital general manager, André Bothma, believes that winning an award for organisational excellence in the healthcare sector is not an easy feat.

“An award of this nature requires an on-going commitment to service excellence and professionalism at all levels and in all we do. It is an acknowledgement that we are delivering across all spheres and making a valuable contribution to the community and greater province. And while we are honoured by the award our striving for service excellence remains a work in progress as we continue to always aim higher,” he concludes.
