National Renal Care’s Kwadwesi facility has relocated to the KwaMagxaki Shopping Complex. The move, which offers many additional patient benefits, marks an exciting new chapter for a facility that has served the community for nearly a decade.
“This relocation represents a significant upgrade, offering a quieter, more secure setting for patients and staff. It promises to enhance the overall patient experience, reflecting our unwavering dedication to excellence in healthcare,” says Ann Rambarran, National Renal Care (NRC) operations executive.
“Patients can look forward to a range of new amenities and services at the new facility that were not available before. The KwaMagxaki Shopping Complex is a new, modern building. It is more spacious, and we also have dedicated parking areas, which we believe will enhance the overall patient experience, making visits to the facility comfortable and stress-free,” she adds.
Operational hours at the new facility will remain unchanged but will be adjusted as patient numbers grow. The facility currently operates from 06:00 to 21:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from 06:00 to 16:00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Rambarran assured patients that any operational-hour changes would be communicated well ahead of time to ensure minimal disruption to patients' schedules.
“The relocation is not just about infrastructure; it also represents a commitment to the community. Moving to KwaMagxaki brings our services closer to the people and is expected to significantly benefit the local community by making essential renal care services more convenient and accessible,” notes Rambarran.

The adoption of electronic medical records within NRC allows for integrated healthcare across the full continuum of care. “These technological advancements are part of NRC's patient-centered care approach, including patient education and self-management awareness, which we believe will improve patient engagement and treatment outcomes. Our patients are excited and fully supportive of the move, as Kwadwesi was long overdue for a makeover.
"Moreover, at NRC, patient care is overseen by our team of dedicated nephrologists at all times, ensuring that the highest standards of medical care are maintained," Rambarran emphasises.
“As we settle into our new home, we are optimistic about the future and the positive impact this move will have on our patients and the broader community. We believe this relocation will increase the quality of care we provide and strengthen our bonds with the community we serve. Our new facility is designed to foster a more comfortable, secure and supportive environment, and we are excited to see the many benefits it will bring to everyone involved,” concludes Rambarran.
