Person centred healthcare starts with employee wellbeing
Leading South African healthcare group Netcare earned the internationally acclaimed Top Employer Institute recognition once more for its person centred Human Resources and people empowerment strategies, meeting the benchmarking requirements of this prestigious world-class certification.

To be considered for the highly respected Top Employer 2026 certification, organisations from 131 countries worldwide are benchmarked against various strategic HR domains and sub-domains, including business and people strategy, organisational culture and work environment, talent acquisition, learning and development, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, and employee wellbeing.
For the second year running, the international authority confirmed in its the data-driven assessment that Netcare met and exceeded the threshold requirement for Top Employer certification. Key areas in which Netcare excelled included people strategy, leadership, culture, values, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
In addition, for the third consecutive year, Netcare was crowned Employer of Choice in the healthcare sector at the GradStar Students’ Choice Awards. This accolade is awarded based on the perceptions of students across 63 tertiary institutions nationwide, highlighting companies that excel in workplace culture, career growth opportunities, and employer reputation.
