Netcare Medicross Highway Sub-acute and Rehabilitation Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal is a 30 bed, specialised healthcare facility providing sub-acute and rehabilitation care to adult patients recovering from an illness, injury or surgery, who no longer need to be hospitalised but haven’t sufficiently recovered yet to return home.

Admission requirements

Medical scheme patients

Members of medical schemes will require a letter of motivation from their doctor and authorisation from their medical scheme, which will be arranged by the case manager at the acute care or the sub-acute hospital.

Private patients

Private patients, who aren’t members of a medical scheme, require a referral letter from their doctor for admission to our hospital. An estimate for hospitalisation will be discussed with the patient and/or their loved ones.

Netcare Medicross Highway Sub-acute and Rehabilitation Hospital is contracted to most medical schemes and a global tariff for private patients is available on request.
