Our quality of care methodology
We use scientific criteria to continually measure our performance in providing our patients with the best and safest care.

We define the data that is reported as best practice, safest care, and person centred care, and share with you how we as an organisation are performing on an ongoing basis.

Netcare supports a transparent process for sharing quality of care data. Our publicly reported measures are aligned with international standards and/or local practice, clearly referenced and in accordance with good data science practice.

Quality of care drives a person centred culture of continual improvement

To drive a person centred mindset and culture of continual improvement, we are implementing interventions to meaningfully support our associated healthcare practitioners and employees in their interactions with patients, as well as digitising our clinical information, and making analytics and reporting accessible to our employees, patients and other stakeholders.

Our commitment to transparency

Each year, our quality of care performance are published on our website and in the Netcare annual integrated report (AIR) which provides material information on the Group’s strategy to continue creating sustainable competitive advantage and deliberate social, economic and environmental value.

All measures are clearly defined and referenced, and performance results cover both current and previous periods, together with guidance on how to interpret the results.
