By digitising your electronic medical records, your specialist can view your clinical information in real time, enabling them to make the best decisions about your health and care, even when they cannot physically be at your bedside.

MyNetcare Online

MyNetcare Online is a secure portal that has been created to enable your personal healthcare management.

Using the online tools on the portal, you can provide Netcare with your relevant personal information as well as that of your dependants, update these personal profiles at any time, and conveniently do pre-admissions to a Netcare hospital.

You can also request Netcare appointmed™ to book appointments for you or your loved ones with specialists, GPs, and dentists at Netcare hospitals, Netcare Medicross, and Netcare Akeso countrywide.

Bringing world class medical treatments to South Africans

Together with specialists, we have introduced many highly advanced 'firsts' in medical treatments in South Africa, to give local patients access to world class medical care.

Making specialised surgery available to disadvantaged South Africans

With the support of specialists at our hospitals and other contributors, we provide free specialised surgery to many disadvantaged children and adults with congenital cardiac disorders, cleft lip and palate, facial anomalies, hearing loss, and other medical conditions – changing their lives for the better.

Caring for the health of our environment too

We’re passionate about protecting the environment for future generations. Ongoing environmental sustainability projects in our hospitals focus on minimising our impact on the environment, and Netcare’s leadership in this regard has been widely acknowledged internationally and locally.

Including people with disabilities in mainstream economic activity

Persons with disabilities (PWDs) – who continue to face significant barriers to entering the mainstream economy – currently make up 4.03% of our total workforce, double the national target set by the Department of Employment and Labour. Most of these staff members are employed at Netcare hospitals.

Supporting youth development and job creation

As an anchor sponsor of the government’s Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative, Netcare is helping to address youth unemployment. One of the ways is through formal structured vocational training programmes linked to career opportunities. More than 1 000 young people have enrolled since 2018, with all but a few having secured employment after completion of their training.

Supporting relief efforts to communities following disasters

Reaching out to people in need is part of our corporate ethos. In times of disaster, such as the recent devastating flooding in KwaZulu-Natal, Netcare helps in assisting individuals requiring medical care, and our staff members donate generously to relief efforts within affected communities.
